Today's chilly weather reminded me of Chicago and also update my website.

3 ARTS CLUB CAFE

Hands down, my favorite spot was the 3 Arts Club Cafe. Seriously. That place is beautiful. It's a "must-see" spot for anyone visiting the city. It's a cafe set in the middle of a modern furniture store. If you go, make sure you order their homemade rock salted chocolate chip cookies and a coffee.
You'll be taken on a sweet journey.

I wanted to talk about this photo and what editing could do. When you're shooting in raw, you're collecting a lot of data you can work with. The original photo was a bit dark and I wanted to add a bit more color. In Lightroom, I raised the exposure, shifted the color temperature to the left, and used graduated filters to even out the exposure. With a bit of time and some thinking, the photo came out like below!

ONE IN LOVE CONFERENCE

Now, I wasn't in Chicago just to take pictures. I went to go to the One in Love Conference! It's a conference where young adults from all over the country come to worship. It made me feel small and a part of something bigger than me at the same time. It's hard to describe. My small group member had people flying from Arizona, driving 15 hours from NYC , and 12 hours from us Virginians. It was a great time, albeit a bit tiring. I want to try videography at some point in time.
Heck, I'm going to try videography.
